From the composer’s studio

Music made by a person, for your ideas

I’m Takuya Yoshida, the composer behind Yoshida Music Lab in Japan. All the music in this library is my original work. No generative AI was used to compose or generate it.

Find a track that fits your story, then cut or shorten it to suit your project. Credit is always appreciated, but never required.

A few things to know before you publish

The audio files are free to download and use under these terms. The compositions remain protected by copyright and are managed by JASRAC. Depending on your use and territory, separate licensing and royalty payments may be required.

Commercial use & international licensing

Yoshida Music Lab does not charge a separate fee to download and use the supplied audio files in your creative projects. You do not need to contact us first for the uses described on this page, including commercial projects. This does not waive rights administered by JASRAC or other rights holders.

“Free” does not mean copyright-free, royalty-free or public domain. You are responsible for checking and obtaining any licences required for your country or region, platform, media and intended use, and for paying any applicable royalties.

Where needed, contact the relevant copyright management organisation in your country or region, or the appropriate publisher, rights holder or licensing service. For audiovisual synchronisation, JASRAC’s international guidance directs users to the original publisher, or to JASRAC if there is no original publisher.

Do not assume that a platform’s music licence covers every upload, account type, advertisement, game or film release. Check the scope of any platform licence and arrange additional clearance where required.

Editing the music & optional credit

You may cut, shorten or use part of a track. If you want to change its key, please contact Yoshida Music Lab first. Any required copyright clearance still applies.

No credit is required. If you would like to include one:

Restrictions that protect the shared library
  • Do not claim the music as your own composition, or redistribute or sell the original audio files as your own work.
  • Do not register these tracks, or works incorporating them, with YouTube Content ID, Meta Rights Manager, Facebook Rights Manager or similar automated rights-management systems.
  • Do not claim exclusive rights to the music or prevent other creators from using it legitimately.

Unauthorised registration, redistribution or rights claims may be treated as copyright infringement. Yoshida Music Lab may submit disputes, takedown requests or take other appropriate action.

What if I receive a copyright claim?

Check the track title, claimant and rights identified in the notice. A claim may concern the composition, an incorrect match or an unauthorised third-party registration; it does not automatically mean someone has registered the recording without permission.

If you receive an unexpected claim involving our library music, email info@piyotaku3.com with the track name and claim details. We will do our best to investigate and assist. We cannot guarantee removal of a claim.

A Content ID claim is different from a copyright strike. Only dispute a claim when you have a valid basis. Read YouTube’s guidance.

Terms of use & disclaimer

By downloading or using the music, you agree to these terms. You are responsible for complying with applicable copyright laws, licensing requirements, local laws and the rules of the platforms and services you use.

Yoshida Music Lab assumes no responsibility for loss, damage, copyright claims, monetisation restrictions, lost revenue, account restrictions, suspension or other issues arising from use of the music, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Free availability does not guarantee that copyright procedures, notifications or claims will not occur. If you suspect an unauthorised rights claim, contact us; we will do our best to help.

Optional / Content ID demonstration

Curious how YouTube Content ID works?

Test track: 追憶に耽って (Tsuioku ni Fukette)

This test track is registered with Content ID. It is separate from the main BGM library and is provided here for testing.

Download the Content ID test track

How to try it & what to expect
  1. Add the test track to a short video of your own.
  2. Upload it to your YouTube channel as an unlisted test video.
  3. Check YouTube Studio for copyright notices and claim details.

YouTube may detect the track and apply a Content ID claim. Detection and timing are not guaranteed. Unlisted videos can still receive claims; visibility or monetisation may be affected. A Content ID claim is different from a copyright strike.

Do not dispute a correct match merely because this is a test. How Content ID works.
